Project Overview
Emergent Architecture partnered with The Accel Group to design a new headquarters in Waverly, Iowa, supporting the company’s continued growth and commitment to personalized client service. The Accel Group headquarters creates a flexible, modern office environment where employees and clients can connect through a variety of workspaces, meeting areas, and informal gathering zones.
The company had outgrown its previous leased space and chose to remain in Waverly, where the agency was originally founded. The new two-level, 15,000-square-foot office at 319 Oak Ridge Drive was planned to accommodate present and future growth while reinforcing The Accel Group’s culture of collaboration and service

Workplace Amenities & Employee Experience
The headquarters includes designated areas for video conferences and meetings, a café with an outdoor patio, and 1,750 square feet of open space for employee and client events. These spaces support both day-to-day operations and larger gatherings, creating a workplace that feels adaptable, welcoming, and connected to the company’s long-term goals.
A second-story deck extends the work environment outdoors, while “the nest” provides expansive views to the north. Together, these features bring daylight, flexibility, and informal gathering opportunities into the workplace experience.
Impact
The Accel Group headquarters reflects the company’s focus on people, service, and future growth. By combining private offices, collaborative spaces, client-facing areas, and shared amenities, the design supports employees across different generations and communication styles.
The completed workplace gives The Accel Group room to grow while strengthening its presence in Waverly and creating a professional environment that supports both clients and coworkers.
